Yes. Registering your handprint on the global map, planting seeds at home, attending most community gatherings, and watching the global broadcast are all free. The three-day flagship festival in South Africa is ticketed, and some local satellite events may choose to sell tickets — but participation in the global moment costs nothing.

The synchronized Moment of Global Unity takes place on October 17, 2026 at 12pm San Francisco (PDT), 3pm New York (EDT), 8pm London (BST), 9pm Johannesburg (SAST), 12:30am New Delhi (IST, Oct 18), and 6am Sydney (AEDT, Oct 18).

The moment begins with a Prayer for Mother Earth led by Indigenous Elders from many nations, followed by a shared meditative pause across every time zone, and then a global wave of celebration — with events of all sizes streaming into one interactive broadcast, including the Origin Anthem guided by Jon Anderson of YES.

A handprint is your personal registration on the global map — it says "I'm taking part," whether alone or with family at home. A community gathering is a private event you host for friends, family, or neighbors. A satellite event is a public event — a concert, ceremony, festival, or celebration — open to your whole city and listed publicly on the global map with ticketing and social links.

Seed the Dream is a global call to plant, pledge, and participate. On October 17, people around the world join in a shared act of care for the Earth — planting seeds at home, registering a handprint on the global map, and supporting regenerative projects on the ground.

The flagship event is held at the Kromdraai Impact Hub, 40km north of Johannesburg, near the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the Cradle of Humankind. The three-day festival runs October 16–18, 2026 and features South African artists, cultural leaders, and international visionaries.

Everyone is invited to participate from wherever they are — at home, in a backyard, or at a local community gathering. You can register your handprint on the global map, plant seeds, host or attend a local gathering, and tune into the global live broadcast at the synchronized moment.

Register your event through the Host a Gathering page — it takes about two minutes and is free. Public satellite events appear on the global map with full details, and we provide an organizer kit with the Origin logo, brand guidelines, social copy, and promotional support. Organizers handle their own venue, permits, and logistics.

Origin is raising $10 million for a growing ecosystem of regenerative initiatives — restoring soil health, strengthening food systems, regenerating landscapes, and supporting communities worldwide. Contributions go to regenerative projects on the ground through partners including Farmers Footprint and Project Biome.
